Lube, Oil and Filter Service

If you have a gas-powered engine, it's essential that you get routine oil changes to maintain the engines' performance and efficiency. Oil lubricates the interior components of the engine, where a lot of friction and heat can develop during the extreme temperatures of combustion. Without any oil, an engine would quickly fail due to the lack of lubrication. Over time, oil will degrade and get contaminated.

This is why we recommend that our loyal Kia customers get regular oil changes. We typically recommend oil changes every six months or 5,000 miles with Kia approved full synthetic oil.

Full synthetic oil is considered a better product for many reasons, and it's been designed to last longer than conventional oil or "semi synthetic" oil. The tolerances and complexity of today's combustion engines demand a high-quality oil that is able to protect the internals.

Tires and Tire rotations

Tires play a major role in the safety of those in your vehicle as well as on the road. If your tires have lost their pressure or don't have much tread left, you'll want to address the problem as soon as possible.

Tread allows your tires to better grip the road, and proper inflation ensures that you can drive efficiently and prevent irregular wear on your tires. With enough irregular wear caused by driving on under or over inflated tires, tires can get damaged and be more likely to give out unexpectedly.

Our team can check your tire pressure, fill up any tires that need more air, and check the tire tread. We recommend your tires be rotated every 5000 miles to ensure even wear and the longest tread life possible.

If you think that something is not quite right or are due for routine maintenance, feel free to give us a call, send an appointment request through our online scheduler or swing by the service department. We always welcome questions, and we'd love the opportunity to assist you in any way!

Oil Service

If you have a gas-powered engine, it's essential that you get regular oil changes to enhance your performance and efficiency. Oil lubricates the interior components of the engine, where a lot of friction and heat can develop during the extreme temperatures of Durham. Without any oil, an engine would quickly fail due to the buildup of all that heat and pressure, and without fresh oil, the engine won't work as well as it otherwise could. Over time, oil can start to degrade and get contaminated.

Currently, it can't do its job effectively. It can get thick and sludgy; as you might imagine, this oil can't flow through an engine very well. This is why we recommend that our Portsmouth customers get regular oil changes. We typically recommend oil changes every three months or 3,000 miles with conventional oil.

Synthetic oil is considered a better product for certain models, and it's been designed to last longer than conventional oil. You may be able to go about six months between oil changes if you choose to get synthetic oil.

Tire Service

Tires obviously play a major role in your safety. If your tires have lost their pressure or don't have much tread left, you'll want to address the problem as soon as possible.

Tread allows your tires to better grip the Newmarket roads, and proper inflation ensures that you can drive efficiently and prevent irregular wear on your tires. With enough irregular wear caused by driving on under-inflated tires, tires can get damaged and be more likely to give out unexpectedly.

Our team can check your tire pressure, fill up any tires that need more air, and check the tire tread. We may recommend that you have your tires rotated or replaced if we notice an issue.

Our services include other things, such as service tasks related to fluids, filters, and brakes. At various times in a vehicle's life, such as at the 50,000- or 70,000-mile mark, we may need to check on several parts under the hood and around the tires. We'll look things over closely to make sure everything is still in good condition, and if we need to flush and replace fluid or repair a part, we'll take care of that for you.

Of course, you can visit us if you have any concerns about performance or safety. Many customers come to our service department when they notice unusual odors, differences when accelerating or braking, and squeaks or grinding noises coming from certain places.

If you think that something's not quite right, feel free to visit us in North Hampton. We will listen carefully as you describe what's been going on and will get your vehicle inspected. If there are a few choices to consider regarding the repair, we'll walk you through those options. We always welcome questions, and we'd love the opportunity to assist you in any way!
